How Valuable

If you've ever bought or sold something on Ebay.com, you know the fluidity that is the value of merchandise. Recently I sold a non-functional PDA (and it was labeled as such) to someone. I estimated that I'd get a few dollars at best. The auction ended at $22. So goes the market for pre-owned goods. One man's trash is another man's treasure, as the saying goes.

Value and worth is truly in the mind of the owner -- or potential owner. The folks on 'Antique Roadshow' can tell you that your Babe Ruth rookie card is worth $100,000. But if you can't find someone to purchase it at that price, it isn't really worth that much, is it?

This is all to prove a point. You and I are so valuable to God that He sent His Son as payment for us. That is the highest price that can be paid -- the sacrifice of an innocent life, even that of God's only Son.

Read God's Word today to find out just how valuable you are to Him.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
